1. innitial diorama

idea

Initially I was inspired by Do Ho Suh’s installations which he creates infinite intimacy through the use of translucent fabric. Thus I also wanted to create that effect through my stage planning by building this diorama.

By cutting the wires it create other effects. The act of cutting symbolizes the breaking of boundaries.

1. second iteration, user testing

idea

Then I thought of combining biomaterial by adding scoby to the piece and using wood as the major element.
I also thought of transmitting words from two participants by using speech recognition and sockets in p5 which will later be projected to the installation.

By moving closer or further away, different haptic responses will be triggered.
By saying things to the installation, the words will be visualized to the other end.
